About the Artwork
,,Śpiewajcie i grajcie mu, małemu, małemu.” (“Sing and play for him, the little one, the little one.”) Adoration of the Shepherds – A Polish Highlander Christmas. Inspired by the highlanders (górale) from Tatra mountains in southern Poland. The town of Zakopane is such a wonderful place to visit! In the picture the “stable” is a little wooden hut, the shepherds are playing their instruments, and a shepherd’s wife is bringing her fiddle and a basket of bread, oscypki, and pierogi. Fun facts about the hats these guys are wearing:
- Made out of wool felt.
- The decorations are not beads, not shells, they’re little BONES.
- The whole hat is liberally smeared with grease to make it waterproof.
(Your print does not include any real hats, with bone decorations or otherwise.)

NO WHITE BORDERS – printed to edge of paper. Four sizes: 5×7″, 8×10″, 9×12″, and 11×14″.
Fine art giclée print from original watercolor painting, printed on acid-free 300 gsm archival watercolor paper. Mat and frame not included.
I have rigorously tested the colors of the prints to make sure they resemble the original artwork as closely as possible; however, please be aware that all computer monitors display colors slightly differently, so the colors in your print may appear different in real life than they do on screen.
Printed to order and shipped directly to you from our printer in PA.
Because this product is made to order, I can only accept returns/exchanges if the product arrives damaged, but I will do everything possible to make sure you are satisfied with your order. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

My 11″ x 14″ print of Adoration of the Shepherds arrived in perfect condition, sandwiched between two sturdy pieces of cardboard, which protected it well during shipping. The quality is excellent and it arrived quickly. What first drew me to this picture are the bright colors and joyful faces. I always look carefully at faces when considering a piece of art. A badly drawn face is a deal-breaker for me. The good news is that the artist is a master at drawing faces full of beauty and expression. The shepherds are lovely in quaint Polish costumes, and the Alpine scene with purple shadowed mountains is sweet yet mysterious. I think this would make a great Christmas card as well. This is going on the pale yellow wall in my office, so I can look at it every day. Becca is an amazingly talented artist and I am proud to own her artwork.
